Why Is It So Hard To Let Go?
I am sure we have all experienced moments in our lives where we were forced to let go of a person, situation, or circumstances for our good. It was not a very easy process to go through. Why is it so hard to let go?
It is hard to let go because most of us gain comfort and a sense of security in the known and accustomed ways of being, routines, and habits. We tend to fear any kind of change, loss, or uncertainty, especially if we do not know the full impact of it on our lives.
I believe it is important to practice letting go, trusting, and accepting that there will always be universal guidance available for our benefit. Let’s discuss the 10 reasons why it is important to let go and trust the universal guidance.
10 Reasons To Let Go
You were not designed to control everything, and therefore, the tighter you try to hold on to something or someone, the more it or they will slip through your fingers.
You were created to listen, follow, and trust the divine guidance that is available to you from the universe and your creator. Here are 10 reasons why you need to let go and trust the universal guidance.
Control Is An Illusion
When you try to control everything, you stay in a loop of fear, not faith. The moment you surrender, life begins to flow. Know that you cannot control everything in life, especially the outer circumstances and situations.
The only thing you can control is how you respond and how you interpret what is happening on the outside. The stories that you make up as you process and make sense of what’s happening on the outside inform your perspectives and beliefs.
Know without a doubt that life is always happening through you and for you. Always remember and trust that the universe always has your back. The universe is always guiding, and giving you signs to move towards your purposeful path.
Start each day by releasing expectations in prayer or journaling. Say out loud: “I trust what is unfolding, even if I do not understand it yet.”

The Universe Sees What You Cannot
Your vision is limited, but the universe sees the whole map. What seems to you like a detour may be divine protection.
Your creator has big plans for you that you cannot even comprehend. It is okay to have goals in life; however, remember, do not get attached to them and their exact timings.
Reflect on a past ‘wrong turn’ that led to unexpected good. Let that memory remind you to trust the unknown.
You Are Being Guided, Not Abandoned
The silence that you fear is not absence; it is alignment. The universe is not ignoring you; it is positioning you. Your creator is always with you to guide you.
You are not left all alone to fulfill your purpose. Guidance is always available, so turn inward and sit in silence to access it. Your soul knows exactly why you are here.
Connect with your creator because you can access your creator’s divine intelligence and wisdom that is available to assist you. The more you connect to your creator and soul, the more you will be able to hear your guidance. Always listen to your intuition and trust it, for it is your divine loving guidance.
Practice stillness. Meditate for 5 minutes and simply ask, “What’s the next right step?” Then listen.
Resistance Creates Suffering
Pain is inevitable; however, suffering is optional. When you stop resisting life, you stop creating unnecessary struggle. So, trust and do not resist and move with the flow of life and follow the divine guidance of the universe, your creator, and soul.
Let your soul be in the driver’s seat because it will take you to your purposeful and fulfilling life path that you came on this earth to live.
When something does not go your way, ask: “What if this is happening for me, not to me?”
Divine Timing Is Always Perfect
Your timeline is based on pressure; however, the universe’s is based on purpose. What is meant for you will not miss you. It will come when you are ready.
So, know that whatever you are hustling and grinding for, trying to get something or somewhere based on your agenda, you may not get it because the divine timing may not be perfect yet.
You may not be able to handle what you are asking for. So always trust that it is not the right time or this is not the right thing for you, and know that the divine timing is always perfect and there are no accidents in this universe. Everything is timed perfectly for you.
Write this on a sticky note: “Trust the wait. Embrace the pace.”

Holding On Drains You
Clinging to the past and overthinking the future depletes your energy. Letting go restores your power and helps you be in flow, peace, and contentment.
Try a “letting go ritual”: Write down what you are trying to control, then tear it up or burn it safely.
Growth Comes From Trust, Not Force
You do not grow when you are in control. You grow when you step into the unknown and trust the unfolding. Always trust that everything in your life is happening in divine order. Look for the lessons and guidance to grow so that you can serve your purpose in a bigger and better way.
Take one small leap of faith this week: apply, say yes, try, share, ask. And trust the outcome.
The Universe Wants To Work With You
You are not on a solo mission. The universe is not against you and wants to work with you and be your partner in creation.
The more you connect, meditate, spend time in silence, and listen to your inner guidance, the more you will be able to fulfill your purpose, live a fulfilling, meaningful life, and impactful life, and make a difference while you are here on this earth.
Begin each day by saying: “Universe, I’m open. Guide me.” Then watch what flows.
Peace Lives On The Other Side Of Surrender
Letting go does not mean giving up. It means giving in to a higher flow and peace that lives on the other side of surrender. There is no peace in trying to control and force all of your results.
Every time anxiety rises, repeat: “I release this. I am supported. I am guided.”
Your Highest Life Requires Your Highest Trust
You cannot step into your fullest life with half-hearted faith. Let go and watch miracles replace manipulation. Your wisdom is within you for you to tap into to fulfill your purpose, and you have to trust that your higher self will guide you towards your purpose, towards your mission.
Your creator is also available to connect to, and the divine intelligence and the divine strength are all available for you to access and use to fulfill your purpose.
Create a “trust anchor”: a list of 3 moments where letting go led to something beautiful. Revisit them when fear returns.
In conclusion, you now know that it is hard to let go because most of us gain comfort and a sense of security in the known and accustomed ways of being, routines, and habits. We tend to fear any kind of change, loss, or uncertainty, especially if we do not know the full impact of it on our lives.
